Raw water

For many industrial applications, drinking water is too expensive or too clean for the application. As salt or brackish water is not sufficient, raw water becomes a suitable solution. At Evides Industrial Water, we offer you the infrastructure and expertise to supply this reliably and economically.

What is Raw water?

Raw water is untreated or lightly treated water. This water comes from a local river or canal. Or from one of our Evides water resources. Water with a quality different from that of drinking water is called ‘Industrial water'. We distinguish industrial water after the specifications of the water: the fewer substances or elements in the water, the better the quality of the product.

What is industrial water with a lower quality?

Industrial water with a lower quality has less quality than drinking water. The water (surface water or purified waste water) is treated to a limited extent. The price for limitedly treated industrial water is lower than the price of drinking water. Companies may, for example, use it as cooling water (once-through cooling) for extinguishing or spraying.

Advantages of Raw water

Cost-efficient

Raw water requires little or no treatment. That is why it is attractively priced for the intended application.

High supply guarantee

Since we make use of different sources, you are assured of delivery. We work, for example, with Maas water from the reservoirs of the Brabant Biesbosch and water from the Brielse Meer.

Sustainable solution

A reliable water resource for your processes is essential to us. Which effect do climate change and developments in the environment have on the quality and quantity of the raw water? What should we do to be able to supply in the future as well? In various meetings with stakeholders we represent the interests of the industry.
