Drought currently has no consequences for water supply Evides
The year 2022, just like 2018, is a very dry year. Many reports appeared in the media this week about drought and possible water shortages in various places in the Netherlands. This summer's drought has so far not affected the supply of water to industry, any more than it has affected the supply of water to consumers.
Prepared for drought
Evides is well prepared for drought. We use surface water from the Brielse Meer and water from the Maas. The basins in the Biesbosch have a stock of 2 to 3 months for the water supply. The low(er) river level therefore has no consequences for our supply to consumers or industry at the moment.
